Well I had thought of doing something like this for a while. However it wasn’t until Myrodis19 of Kametsu Forums suggested we do it, that I actually set it in motion. Within 24 hours I had the site up and running after that with everything set how we wanted it. Now all that is left is for us to fill it up and then continue with weekly updates. Ah, it's been a while since I last did any updates for the network.Anyways, everyone who knows me, knows that I have a bad habit of starting things but never finishing them. For example a project I started, and announced almost a year ago (September 2008) and done a lot of work to but have since then not bothered finishing and putting it out on the net. Well here it is, in all it's unfinished glory. I figured eh, what the hell, if I'm just letting it sit there might as well let people know about it. Anyways I need to create the news system (that is if I decide to even have news on it), and I need to create the rest of the pages and add the download links for the dubbed (or in this case dual-audio) episodes that have been released... Here is to "Akuma Paradise", the paradise for all Akuma and fans of D.Gray-man featuring tons of detailed information (well some for now anyways), Opening and Ending music files ripped by yours truly, as well as the Opening and Ending videos with the music ripped by yours truly again. I've done some edits to The Forgotten Network, mainly contacting and removing sites not owned by me, and changing how the network works and what type of network it is. It will no longer be a network of closely knit friends/sites and will moreover be a place to find all sites owned by me or my sister.With that said, I've removed the join the network page, and added a "Current and Past Sites" page listing every site I've ever made that I can remember. Unfortunately I closed down Kingdom Hearts Trinity and Shinra Insider. Their domains now redirect to Forgotten Memories, and all of Kingdom Hearts Trinity's content has/will be added to Forgotten Memories.On a different note, you are probably aware of my works within the anime part of our network, as such I am still working on Kametsu, and have gotten English Dub Kingdom up and running great. However there is another project that has yet to be introduced... so here it goes.. I am soon opening a fansite based solely on the great anime series of D.Gray-man! I've already finished most of the content, and I have even ripped and encoded music from the videos, as well as the opening and ending videos themselves and they will be up for download! Plus tons of other extras and info.. it's already looking to become the number one D.Gray-man fansite, even before it opens! I decided it was time for an update and started a new design that was simple, yet elegant and appealing to the eye. The new system is coming along nicely. I've decided to use a premade layout for it for the time being until I feel like making and coding one and have photoshop reinstalled. I'm editing the layout to suit our needs, and fixing it up as I go along, cause honestly it's a little plain.There will be some changes to some things. Such as reporting broken links will no longer be done by email. Instead you leave a comment on the report broken link page. That way any staff member can see it, and also visitors can see if it's been reported already. Saves everyone time, and keeps from getting duplicate reports. Also comments on the download pages will be open so you can talk about the series, or w/e. However do not use the comments on the download pages to report broken links, those who do will be warned. Use the report broken link page to report broken links only. News will no longer be pulled from forum, which means commenting on news will no longer require a forum account. Guests of the site can post comments without an account, or they can register an account on the site too. Comments will be held in moderation until you have some approved comments then they will no longer need to be approved. If this causes too much spam to get through, even with our spam blocking systems, we will have to switch to only allowing registered users the ability to comment. Another new change will be requests. We will NO LONGER be accepting Anime Requests on the site. If there is something we don't have and you want it, the only way to request it is to have an account on the community forum and request it there once you have reached the necessary guidelines to do so. Just thought I should update you once more.I have a couple people in mind for the staffing now, and will work on getting the new setup completed soon. Once we switch over we may have some default layout for a bit till I can work out a new one, I don't know just yet. I apologize for the time it has taken me to sort this out. Just know we are still alive, and before long will be having weekly updates once more and remain caught up. It will be nice to finally have some help in keeping the place updated. You can expect Vampire Knight, Kanokon, new Bleach finally, up to 26 of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood since it has stopped airing on Adult Swim, and several other new series, plus link fixes to broken episodes shortly after the switch. Hmm, well from what I hear a cancer group called Nick & Friends has gotten a design in for some Nascar car to bring more awareness to cancer, and more specifically the rare childhood cancers known as Sarcoma.The car is black with yellow ribbons, and each ribbon signifies someone who has fought this deadly decease. One of them just so happens to have Taylors name on it. So please help them out and vote for the car to be the winning pick to be used. It's become apparent to me that I simply don't have enough time to do everything, and my uploading is becoming more and more scarce. So I've decided to remove the way I have coded the site, and move on over to a CMS based site using Wordpress. This way I can easily add staff members who can quickly and easily (with no coding knowledge needed) update the site with the latest episodes weekly.I'll assign certain people certain series, or it could just be whoever gets to it first. If you would like to help keep the site updated, either apply on the thread in the forum, or send me an email through the site. If you have blogging knowledge or knowledge of wordpress it would be good, but it's not necessary. I should be able to teach you the basics fairly easily. As for when the change will take place? I'm not sure exactly just yet, but it will require me to re-code the layout to work with it. I may either end up designing a new layout (it's about time for one), though I really don't feel like it or have any idea's at the moment, or I might use some awesome pre-made skin. This is for all the emails asking me to re-encode said series or file for playback on iPod, PSP, or any other shitty player. Okay well maybe not shitty, but you understand what I mean. Or any mp4 to avi, mkv to mp4, yada yada, etc..Just NO! You know how much extra work it is to re-encode a file and to upload it, not to mention that means another format in which I have to continue to try and keep uploaded when links die. It's simply too much. I add to the site the formats I want, and formats that will play on your PC. If you want to play it on your TV, then hook your PC up to your TV like I did (most TV's now days have a PC plug). If you want it for *insert random player here* then Google a free converter program and encode it yourself. For those that don't want to bother with it, join our community forums, and become an active member. There are lots of PSP, iPod, etc.. encoded Anime there, and I'm sure if you request nicely, one of the other members or staff might be willing to encode them for you. Sorry if this post sounded rude, but I'm hoping it will end the massive stream of emails asking me to re-encode files for w/e reason. The majority of the files here wasn't even encoded by me to begin with (simply because others beat me to it, or if it's TV airings, I can't cap TV airings because I don't have cable nor the equipment needed). *update* On a side note, the poll booth as finally been changed. I think the server requires a different version of the game than the one you have linked in the download thread. Every time I try to log in it says it can't connect to the patching server, and logs me out again.

Well the Summer Event held by Schthack has sadly officially come to an end. Our team has not been together much the entire time of the event, and I feel we aren't much of a team really. I've talked to Ren about possibly starting events, and if he had any idea's. Well he liked the idea of holding events but didn't have any thought out.So anyways, I've came up with one. Here on out, we'll dedicate Friday's to going against Gal Gryphon, calling the event Grypon Friday Fright. We will need at least 4 people to hold this each week, if we get more, we will split them into even teams and each party will head on. He can be found in the Central Control Area after you have completed the three short area's. Those being Jungle, Mountain, and Seabed. Depending on those who participate will determine what mode we fight him in. We will try to keep the teams equal in members, and strength, but at the same time try to keep it so we don't have lvl 100+ members going against him on normal unless absolutely necessary. So, yeah, who's with me? Post below times you can be on this coming Friday, which character you plan on using, and what level that character is. I'll try to work out a schedule for Friday to make it so we can try to be on all at the same time. I hope this event works out. Warning:There is one fatal flaw to be wary of. MAG % meters will not save odd numbers. If you quit a game (or leave a team while online) or store the MAG in the bank any odd numbers will be rounded down to the next even number. For example: the POW % meter is at 75% and you quit the game. When you return later it will have been rounded down to 74%. To test this out feed a level 5 baby MAG 3 Star Atoms (Star Atoms add 25% to each stat meter on a baby MAG) and then quit the game. Make another game and feed it another Star Atom and instead of hitting the 100% mark and adding levels it will stop at 99%. I've never understood why this happens, but it does happen. So do be advised about this issue. Note: The Power and Mind MAGs are extremely fragile. You have to follow the feeding regimen exactly. One mis-feed will literally mess them up and not allow them to have the optimum stats. So make sure you keep track of how many items you've fed your MAG. Also, make sure to feed them in the order given. On the Mind MAG it'll say to give the Level 10 to 35, feed 76 Trifluids, 5 Antiparalysis, 1 Difluid. You must feed all 76 Trifluids, then the 5 Antiparalysis, then finally the lone Difluid. Messing up the feeding orders will mess up the MAG's levels. Okay, so it seems we have all but died and vanished. To be honest, not a single update aside from a news post has been done to the site in several years. I just don't have the time nor the will to work on the site. I don't want to see it just be deleted like so many other Final Fantasy sites I've known in the years that we have been.So many affiliate Final Fantasy sites who were dear friends have vanished. FF Synthesis, Spira's Destiny, FF Spira, FF Kingdom, Green Requiem, Oritsuru, and many many others have all completely vanished off the face of the net. I don't want to see the same thing happen to Forgotten Memories, but I hate seeing it in the state it's in too. We've been around on this domain since 2005, but have been around as a major site in the Final Fantasy community since 2004. All the Final Fantasy sites out there now are nothing like the old ones. The new ones all mostly focus on one series, doesn't feature actual information, and instead is only news and media. They don't have the heart and soul that the Final Fantasy community once had. So while it seems nothing has happened here, it really hasn't. I was working on a new layout, but didn't want to put it up till I did some work on the site. I was planning to re-write everything and add many many more series to the site. I never got around to it, and at this point I don't think I ever will. I just don't have time for it like I once did, and to truly give the amount of work and content I wanted to do is outrageously a lot. Cause unlike all the current sites, I wanted to actually provide a detailed source for information that hard work had been put into. So for now, all I can say, is I have no plans of doing away with the site, but have no plans of actually working on it at this point either. Probably in part by me not having either the 360 or the PS3, and seeing how horribly bad Final Fantasy XIII was after the long years of waiting for it. Anyways you might eventually be able to expect me to do something with Forgotten Memories again, but I'm just not sure what. It may not even focus on the Final Fantasy series in the future, as my favorite RPG's include the Shadow Hearts and XenoSaga series now days. Speaking of which, I was working a few months back on re-opening an old fansite for Shadow Hearts. I wrote pretty much all the content, but didn't get it coded for the site, got some of it up though, just been lazy and it's been a couple months since I worked on it again... Square Enix have confirming the forthcoming release dates for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep in North America and Europe via the games official website:North America Release Date: September 7th 2010 (Pre-Order) European Release Date: September 10th 2010 In addition to the first Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep English teaser trailer as well as the release date to both North America and Europe, Square Enix had issued a press release confirming several new voices actors/actresses for this game. Director Tetsuya Takahashi gives details about the story and unique world on what might be one of the Wii's biggest RPGs coming this spring. Previously announced at E3 2009 as Monado: Beginning of the World, Nintendo, the title's publisher, gave the game the new name of "Xenoblade" a couple of weeks back and had people wondering if this might be a new entry in the Xenosaga series. It's not a new entry in that fabled PlayStation series, though. Xenoblade director Tetsuya Takahashi made this clear in an interview in this week's Famitsu. "The world setting, story and other elements have no relation," explained Takahashi on connections to past Xeno games. "It's a completely new title." With Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Ultimania released, Lissar of KHInsider has translated the entire interview with series director Tetsuya Nomura. Be warned that the interview is spoiler-ridden, as it gives details on Birth by Sleep's story as well as the series' future. The Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Ultimania releases tomorrow. But, details from the intensive guidebook containing an interview with series director Tetsuya Nomrua have already been revealed. Please check them out below, thanks to FF-Reunion. “About the next title, Kingdom Hearts 3 depends on Final Fantasy XIII Versus, but development of the next title is already underway. There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year. As from next year, I want to put out a title with multiple main characters. The series won’t end in Kingdom Hearts 3, more like the conclusion of the Xehanort saga. Okay in our last announcement before changing hosts I mentioned we were losing the domain. However I decided to transfer it from our old hosts' registrar (which they had to make things complicated)... so anyways our domain is here to stay! It has been renewed till 2011 for now.Also we have changed hosts for the site which should make the site more stable. GungHo Online Entertainment today announced that the PlayStation version of Grandia will soon be available for download via the PlayStation Store's Game Archives. Developed by GungHo subsidiary GameArts, Grandia was originally released for the Sega Saturn in December 1997. 1.5 years later the game was ported over to PlayStation. Downloading Grandia will cost 600 Yen ($6.08 USD).In further Grandia-related news, GungHo promises to release more information on its long delayed MMORPG Grandia Online during a press conference scheduled for May 20th. Just going to let you know, I'll be adding some Grandia web-layouts, including the version 3 of this site to our new free layouts page I decided to add. I'm also going to upload a couple MP3's of songs from Grandia for download including "In the Sky" by Miz, the Grandia 3 theme song.I've been working on my other projects instead of Grandia Online, but once I finish up some things, I'll try to spruce things up here with some fresh new content, and hopefully write something for Grandia I and Grandia Xtreme, lol.. Still no new news of anything related to Grandia such as Grandia 4 or Grandia Online (Zero). |
