Few Edits and new Page!
Posted on October 7, 2008, 1:30 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
I've done some edits to The Forgotten Network, mainly contacting and removing sites not owned by me, and changing how the network works and what type of network it is. It will no longer be a network of closely knit friends/sites and will moreover be a place to find all sites owned by me or my sister.

With that said, I've removed the join the network page, and added a "Current and Past Sites" page listing every site I've ever made that I can remember. I'm sure there are some I've forgot though, lol.. Enjoy and check it out!

2 Down, 1 on the way.

Unfortunately I closed down Kingdom Hearts Trinity and Shinra Insider. Their domains now redirect to Forgotten Memories, and all of Kingdom Hearts Trinity's content has/will be added to Forgotten Memories.

On a different note, you are probably aware of my works within the anime part of our network, as such I am still working on Kametsu, and have gotten English Dub Kingdom up and running great. However there is another project that has yet to be introduced... so here it goes..

I am soon opening a fansite based solely on the great anime series of D.Gray-man! I've already finished most of the content, and I have even ripped and encoded music from the videos, as well as the opening and ending videos themselves and they will be up for download! Plus tons of other extras and info.. it's already looking to become the number one D.Gray-man fansite, even before it opens! I'm not going to announce the name of the site or anything yet though so stay tuned!

The Forgotten Network v3 is up!

Check it out, what do you think? I've updated The Forgotten Network with a new layout. This one is more vibrant and colorful compared to the old gray with blue links.. I made version 3 with orange and green. I hope you enjoy it.

Coming Soon TFN v3...!

I have designed a new layout for The Forgotten Network page and will put it up soon. I decided it was time for an update and started a new design that was simple, yet elegant and appealing to the eye. So wait to see what I came up with..

All I can say right now is the color theme is orange and green. =P

A new "The Last Remnant" fansite, joins us!
Posted on March 18, 2008, 4:13 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
You may have heard of a small fansite called Final Remnant, once hosted by our good friend Greg from FFSynthesis, and ran by ryuzaki. Well after talking for a while, Final Remnant has officially joined The Forgotten Network and is now hosted by us, and considered the official fansite of the network.

So if you are interested in the new RPG by Square-Enix, then give a moment of your time and go check out Final Remnant.

The Forgotten Awards - Voting Started
Posted on November 15, 2007, 2:59 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
Hello,

This is Koby from The Forgotten Network, just letting you know that The Forgotten Awards that you have signed up for to participate in have now entered the voting process. Please let everyone know to start voting, and remember no bribing, etc.. just ask people to vote for who they link is best. Thanks.

Oh and one more thing, remember anyone not linking to the awards will be disqualified. =P So please be sure to keep the link up until voting is over, and if you see any site without the link, please report it. I will personally be checking all sites too.

Oh and I almost forgot. Voting Ends: December 19th. So be sure to get all votes in before hand. Everyone can vote once per 2 days. So if they vote, remind them they can come back in 2 days and vote again if they wish. It's just to keep the voting active mostly. And one more thing, remember: "the biggest change is whats going to happen after the voting. This year there is two parts to the voting. The first being the same as always; where the visitors vote for a site through a poll. However the second part of the voting is left up to me. I will go through the sites and the one I see fit as best in that category will get a boost of 10 votes counted in the end. I will also put up on the awards site my reasons for choosing those sites, and how I believe they can improve even more!"

Thank you all for competing this year, and hopefully with the success of the third time for holding these awards, I will be able to hold a 4th, perhaps in this coming summer. xD

Goodluck to you all,
-Koby.

Two sites closed.
Posted on July 25, 2007, 1:46 am by Koby with 2 Comments.
I have closed Cursed Waters; the Pirates of the Caribbean fansite. As well as The Judgement Ring; the Shadow Hearts fansite. One day in the future, Forgotten Memories shall have Shadow Hearts content, till then I'm sorry to all you Shadow Hearts fans!

I decided it was best to get the number of sites lower, and unfortunately those two were the choices to terminate at this time.

Yeah, I've updated the Official Network page with a new layout seeing how it no longer uses Aardvark for it's systems, and I feel this suits the site much better. So check it out, yes I know it's simple, but thats all it needs. xD

Beyblade: Metal Fusion to Debut in U.S. Fall 2010
Posted on June 7, 2009, 4:27 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
The North American production company Nelvana Enterprises has announced at the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas on Tuesday that Beyblade: Metal Fusion, the newest anime series based on the Beyblade spinning top game and manga franchise, will premiere in North America in Fall 2010. The 51-episode series, which already premiered in Japan in April under the name Metal Fight Beyblade, will tie into the relaunch of the toy line. According to Nelvana, the anime's story follows a new cast of "characters competing for dominance with their Beyblade tops, battling with an evil organization, Dark Nebula." The "Metal" in the new anime and toy line's name is a reference to the use of metal in the new tops, instead of just plastic as in the earlier incarnations.

Nelvana is co-producing the anime with Japan's d-rights. In fact, Martin Kucaj, the composer of the music in the English versions of the previous Beyblade projects and Medabots, already wrote the opening theme song for Japanese version. Takara Tomy is producing the toys which Hasbro will sell worldwide except in the Middle East and Asia. Nelvana, d-rights, Takara Tomy, and Hasbro had partnered on all the previous Beyblade incarnations. The Beyblade Battle Association is planning new tournaments in North America.

The Nihon Keizai (Nikkei) Shimbun newspaper reported in April of 2008 that Takara Tomy is reviving the franchise after four years. Takara Tomy launched the original game franchise in 1999, and sponsored three anime series between 2001 and 2003: Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade 2002 (Beyblade V-Force), and Bakuten Shoot Beyblade G-Revolution. New Beyblade episodes have not aired in the United States since 2005. Viz Media released Takao Aoki's original Beyblade manga, and Takafumi Adachi launched his new Metal Fight Beyblade manga in Shogakukan's Coro-Coro Comic magazine last September.

--------

A bit a way but still worth mentioning. Look forward to the English Dub of this series appearing on this site Fall 2010 hopefully.

Funimation Acquires Spice and Wolf
Posted on June 7, 2009, 4:22 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
The North American anime distributor Funimation is announcing on Saturday at Anime Boston that it has acquired the license for the first season of the Spice and Wolf anime series. The anime adapts Isuna Hasekura and Jū Ayakura's acclaimed light novel series that avoids the usual sword-and-sorcery trappings of fantasy stories and focuses on how business (and religion) gets done in a medieval world — with a wolf girl. Jun Fukuyama and Ami Koshimizu play the peddler Lawrence and the wolf girl Holo, two unlikely companions who embark on a journey together. IMAGIN produced the animation, and Kadokawa Pictures USA handled the distribution arrangements.

A second anime season, Spice and Wolf II, will premiere in Japan this July. Yen Press acquired the original light novels and Keito Koume's manga adaptation for English translation.

------

I loved this series when I watched it subtitled, and I will be watching the second season this summer as well. So when this is released dub, I'd really like to share it here. So expect this sometime next year or later when FUNimation releases it.

Also I will be coming back to update this site soon (although my new computers modem went out thus I can't get online on it), which means I will look into getting new links from several broken series, as well as updating the site with all the ongoing series (which by the way you could still get at the forum has it had been being updated the whole time).

Gundam 00 2nd Season to Debut on Sci Fi Channel in June
Posted on May 14, 2009, 1:03 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
Sci Fi will premiere Gundam 00 Second Season at 11:00 p.m. EDT on June 29. Sci Fi's online schedule has not yet updated with the July listings; July is when the channel changes its brand identity to Syfy.

Gundam 00 Second Season is the continuation of the newest television anime in Sunrise's Gundam science-fiction franchise. Both seasons are set in a new timeline, based on our own real-world A.D. history, in which mankind has splintered into three major factions. A group known as the Celestial Being aims to eradicate war with giant robotic mecha known as Gundams and their Gundam Meister pilots.

The first Mobile Suit Gundam 00 season premiered on Sci Fi last November. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season premiered in Japan last October, and the Japanese run just ended on March 29 with an announcement of a new theatrical film.

Bleach 107, 108, 109, 110, and 111.
Posted on April 24, 2009, 12:54 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
Sorry for the lack of updates, if you read the last announcement you'd know why.

Anyhow, Bleach is currently the only on-going series still being aired, thus the only one to update with new episodes. Code Geass will be starting back with two episodes a week pretty soon though. I don't know anything about Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's at the moment however.

So here's your Bleach:
Updated with Bleach episodes 107, 108, 109, 110, and 111.
The capper and encoder group (A-T) we relied on dropped Bleach after 109. So we had to find a new group for 110 and on. I think we found a pretty good capper with SFS. I hope you enjoy! Torrents for these episodes will be out later.

Additional New Characters and Abilities in Western Release of Dissidia Final Fantasy
Posted on May 9, 2009, 3:30 am by cloud1414 with 0 Comments.
In an interview with Final Fantasy Union, Director Takeshi Arakawa and Producer Yoshinori Kitase reveal some of the new additions and changes for the US version. One of them being new character appearances and abilities for the playable characters.

Final Fantasy Union: You’ve mentioned there are some differences between the Japanese and Western versions; will there be any other differences?

Takeshi Arakawa: You can see new abilities for the characters, which are only available in the overseas version. Also there are some characters which don’t appear in any events in the Japanese version but they do in the western version.

FFU: So there will be a few more cameos?

Takeshi Arakawa: Yes, that’s right.

Dissidia Final Fantasy - Short Interview with the Developers Hints Sequel w/ KH?
Posted on May 9, 2009, 3:29 am by cloud1414 with 0 Comments.
Last week some of the Square-Enix staff, namely planning director Takashi Arakawa and Yoshinori Kitase (director, writer and producer) were present at a gaming event in Munich, Germany. Below is a translation (thanks to Tetsujin) regarding their writing of the scenario and possibly ideas for a sequel.

The German gaming site play3 interviewed them about the PSP game Dissidia.

- How do you make sure that no logical errors or plot holes find their way into the story and presentation of so many Final Fantasy games?

We have three measures that prevent that. First of all, a majority of the Square Enix staff already took part in the development of previous FF games. Secondly, we publish guide books in Japan that also serve us as reference archives. And thirdly, we have a couple of employees - like a young female colleague for example - who played through all of the FF games and really know all the details.

- How long does it take to play through Dissidia?

- Arakawa-san: The Japanese version has a whole 40 hours of playtime. The US/European version allows to play through the game in a mere 10 hours by having branches in the game’s story mode. Apart from that, the balancing for the duels has been slightly readjusted. You can still play through the long version of the story mode if you feel like it, though.

- How do you develop for the PSP and how do you see the future of that portable system?

- Arakawa-san: Our development teams are in constant competition with each other. Every department has their own approach and tweaks the engine that fits their game the most.

Kitase-san: A majority of the Kingdom Hearts 2 staff has worked on Dissidia. The similarity between PS2 and PSP paid off for us. What else can be done with the PSP is something we will show with Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Apart from that, we still have lots of other PSP projects in the making.

Another article didn’t reveal anything new except for one interesting bit at the end:

“According to Kitase-san, a sequel would be ‘very interesting’. Maybe it’ll include Kingdom Hearts characters then?
‘Basically, yeah, that’d be possible. Although we’d have to discuss that with Disney, of course…’ ”

Grandia to Hit Game Archives Soon
Posted on April 26, 2009, 9:28 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
GungHo Online Entertainment today announced that the PlayStation version of Grandia will soon be available for download via the PlayStation Store's Game Archives. Developed by GungHo subsidiary GameArts, Grandia was originally released for the Sega Saturn in December 1997. 1.5 years later the game was ported over to PlayStation. Downloading Grandia will cost 600 Yen ($6.08 USD).

In further Grandia-related news, GungHo promises to release more information on its long delayed MMORPG Grandia Online during a press conference scheduled for May 20th. Moreover, series composer Noriyuki Iwadare as well as voice actresses Kikuko Inoue and Mariya Ise are set to attend the event.

Free Web-Layouts and MP3's soon!
Posted on November 3, 2008, 12:47 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
Just going to let you know, I'll be adding some Grandia web-layouts, including the version 3 of this site to our new free layouts page I decided to add. I'm also going to upload a couple MP3's of songs from Grandia for download including "In the Sky" by Miz, the Grandia 3 theme song.

I've been working on my other projects instead of Grandia Online, but once I finish up some things, I'll try to spruce things up here with some fresh new content, and hopefully write something for Grandia I and Grandia Xtreme, lol..

Still no new news of anything related to Grandia such as Grandia 4 or Grandia Online (Zero).

We Are Still Alive And Kicking
Posted on August 10, 2008, 7:11 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
It's been so long since the last update, no news of anything related to Grandia has surfaced, so I thought I should make an announcement letting you know the site is still active. Once I finish up on some of the projects for the other sites I work on, then I will begin to actively update this site such as adding new content, fixing up old content, adding AMV's, and other media, etc..

For now here is a music video that has some Grandia scenes in it. It was the first AMV I made, and I made it back in 2006. Hope you enjoy it. To watch it, right click the link and select "save as".

1st AMV - Going Home
Song: Home - by Daughtry
Scenes From: Grandia 3, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10, The Legend of Dragoon

Introducing Grandia Online v4 - yukiXalfina
Posted on February 22, 2008, 1:55 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
Hey everyone,

check out the new amazing design. I hope you enjoy it. Not only is it a new design but I changed all the links to better the site with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), so instead of grandia2_characters.php the pages are like grandia-2/characters.php

I also fixed up a lot of the old coding, etc.. and I also added some cool interactive features or games. You can now play Tic-Tac-Toe with Alonso and Miranda from Grandia III, as well as Ask Ryudo (from Grandia 2) a Question about anything you want. There is also a game for Snake and Hangman; however they don't interact with any Grandia characters. I also added a little javascript that allows you to play Guess My Number. When you play it, you guess a number (obviously) and then it tells you if the number is higher or lower or if you are correct. So go try out these new things.

Still our Poll Script is broke, so the Poll Booth and Character Battles are still down, but I will get them up shortly. Also I threw away Cutenews and now our News is pulled from our forum, so be sure to join it so that you can interact with our other visitors and members, and also be able to comment on the news posts.

Since I did change of the links to the pages there might be some broken pages, but for the most part I think I have it all fixed and running smoothly. But if you do encounter a broken link/page please report it to me via the contact page. Also, as always I am looking for a couple more affiliates so if you own a site don't hesitate to try to affiliate.

Well I think thats about all, so hope you enjoy it.
