The Year-Old Unfinished Project Unveiled And Still Unfinished
Posted on August 19, 2009, 10:39 pm by Koby with 3 Comments.
Ah, it's been a while since I last did any updates for the network.

Anyways, everyone who knows me, knows that I have a bad habit of starting things but never finishing them. For example a project I started, and announced almost a year ago (September 2008) and done a lot of work to but have since then not bothered finishing and putting it out on the net.

Well here it is, in all it's unfinished glory. I figured eh, what the hell, if I'm just letting it sit there might as well let people know about it. Anyways I need to create the news system (that is if I decide to even have news on it), and I need to create the rest of the pages and add the download links for the dubbed (or in this case dual-audio) episodes that have been released...

Here is to "Akuma Paradise", the paradise for all Akuma and fans of D.Gray-man featuring tons of detailed information (well some for now anyways), Opening and Ending music files ripped by yours truly, as well as the Opening and Ending videos with the music ripped by yours truly again.

I hope you like it, and maybe letting you know about it may make me want to get things finished with it.

http://akumaparadise.kametsu.com

PS. here's to hoping a new season or series will be announced in a year or so to continue the anime series so it can actually end.

Few Edits and new Page!
Posted on October 6, 2008, 10:30 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
I've done some edits to The Forgotten Network, mainly contacting and removing sites not owned by me, and changing how the network works and what type of network it is. It will no longer be a network of closely knit friends/sites and will moreover be a place to find all sites owned by me or my sister.

With that said, I've removed the join the network page, and added a "Current and Past Sites" page listing every site I've ever made that I can remember. I'm sure there are some I've forgot though, lol.. Enjoy and check it out!

2 Down, 1 on the way.
Posted on September 17, 2008, 11:45 am by Koby with 2 Comments.
Unfortunately I closed down Kingdom Hearts Trinity and Shinra Insider. Their domains now redirect to Forgotten Memories, and all of Kingdom Hearts Trinity's content has/will be added to Forgotten Memories.

On a different note, you are probably aware of my works within the anime part of our network, as such I am still working on Kametsu, and have gotten English Dub Kingdom up and running great. However there is another project that has yet to be introduced... so here it goes..

I am soon opening a fansite based solely on the great anime series of D.Gray-man! I've already finished most of the content, and I have even ripped and encoded music from the videos, as well as the opening and ending videos themselves and they will be up for download! Plus tons of other extras and info.. it's already looking to become the number one D.Gray-man fansite, even before it opens! I'm not going to announce the name of the site or anything yet though so stay tuned!

Check it out, what do you think? I've updated The Forgotten Network with a new layout. This one is more vibrant and colorful compared to the old gray with blue links.. I made version 3 with orange and green. I hope you enjoy it.

I have designed a new layout for The Forgotten Network page and will put it up soon. I decided it was time for an update and started a new design that was simple, yet elegant and appealing to the eye. So wait to see what I came up with..

All I can say right now is the color theme is orange and green. =P

A new "The Last Remnant" fansite, joins us!
Posted on March 18, 2008, 1:13 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
You may have heard of a small fansite called Final Remnant, once hosted by our good friend Greg from FFSynthesis, and ran by ryuzaki. Well after talking for a while, Final Remnant has officially joined The Forgotten Network and is now hosted by us, and considered the official fansite of the network.

So if you are interested in the new RPG by Square-Enix, then give a moment of your time and go check out Final Remnant.

The Forgotten Awards - Voting Started
Posted on November 15, 2007, 11:59 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
Hello,

This is Koby from The Forgotten Network, just letting you know that The Forgotten Awards that you have signed up for to participate in have now entered the voting process. Please let everyone know to start voting, and remember no bribing, etc.. just ask people to vote for who they link is best. Thanks.

Oh and one more thing, remember anyone not linking to the awards will be disqualified. =P So please be sure to keep the link up until voting is over, and if you see any site without the link, please report it. I will personally be checking all sites too.

Oh and I almost forgot. Voting Ends: December 19th. So be sure to get all votes in before hand. Everyone can vote once per 2 days. So if they vote, remind them they can come back in 2 days and vote again if they wish. It's just to keep the voting active mostly. And one more thing, remember: "the biggest change is whats going to happen after the voting. This year there is two parts to the voting. The first being the same as always; where the visitors vote for a site through a poll. However the second part of the voting is left up to me. I will go through the sites and the one I see fit as best in that category will get a boost of 10 votes counted in the end. I will also put up on the awards site my reasons for choosing those sites, and how I believe they can improve even more!"

Thank you all for competing this year, and hopefully with the success of the third time for holding these awards, I will be able to hold a 4th, perhaps in this coming summer. xD

Goodluck to you all,
-Koby.

Two sites closed.
Posted on July 24, 2007, 10:46 pm by Koby with 2 Comments.
I have closed Cursed Waters; the Pirates of the Caribbean fansite. As well as The Judgement Ring; the Shadow Hearts fansite. One day in the future, Forgotten Memories shall have Shadow Hearts content, till then I'm sorry to all you Shadow Hearts fans!

I decided it was best to get the number of sites lower, and unfortunately those two were the choices to terminate at this time.

Yeah, I've updated the Official Network page with a new layout seeing how it no longer uses Aardvark for it's systems, and I feel this suits the site much better. So check it out, yes I know it's simple, but thats all it needs. xD

English Dub Kingdom News:

In a HUGE need of HELP!
Posted on November 18, 2009, 2:44 pm by Koby with 3 Comments.
Okay so I'm falling very far behind on updates, and there are many reasons for this. For starters...

  1. I'm spending time with my sister as I have announced earlier this year.
  2. My only internet access lately has been DIAL-UP, which is beyond slow at 14 KBPS connection.
  3. I've recently got a part-time job helping paint stuff on the weekends, but I've finished now.
  4. and lastly.. on top of all that, I'm only 1 person trying to maintain thousands of download links that keep dying, as well as trying to stay on top of adding the newest episodes, and reading the hundreds of emails sent from all the viewers.. :/
So.. what I really need is some help. I need people for several different positions/jobs.
  • People who can post links for the various series on the forum.
  • Someone who can use ftp and knows enough about html to post links to the site pages from the forum.
  • Someone who would like to help keep on-top of the vast number of incoming emails and respond to peoples questions or help them on technical issues.
Hopefully some people will come forth to help me out so we can get back on track and start keeping up to date with anime releases for the fans.

All Bleach Episodes are Broke....
Posted on October 12, 2009, 11:44 pm by Koby with 9 Comments.
The title says it all. I am aware that all Bleach episodes are broken, especially since the hundreds of emails and several threads/posts on the forum have reported to me. LOL.. So enough everyone, I know they are broke, and I am working on repairing them.

Okay, well there is no reason for all links to just break at one time like this unless someone went and reported all the links from visiting the site. So whoever did it, thanks a lot for being a jerk and making me have to get it all fixed. Also this causes delays on updates to series as we have to put all the work of getting working links back up for 152+ episodes. (and just when we had finally fixed every broken link on the site too..)

All Broken Links Fixed, Ongoing Series Updated, and Tons of D-A anime added!
Posted on September 28, 2009, 1:53 pm by Koby with 3 Comments.
A HUGE UPDATE!!! I went through every single series and with MegaManager checked all links and repaired every single broken link on the site! So I hope you enjoy the episodes you were missing or waiting for.

Then I updated the ongoing series as follows:
Bleach episodes 139-152 + Movie 02, Moribito [DVD] episodes 14-17, and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's episodes 36-52.
I also went and updated a lot of the series with better quality encodes and/or dual-audio dvd rips. Here they are as follows:
.hack//LIMINALITY [Dual-Audio], Air Gear [Dual-Audio], Death Note [Dual-Audio], Dragonball Movie 01, Fullmetal Alchemist [Dual-Audio], Gundam Seed [Dual-Audio], Gundam Seed Destiny [Dual-Audio], Gurren Lagann [Dual-Audio], Hellsing [Dual-Audio], and Wolf's Rain [Dual-Audio].
and... new series added to the site:
.hack//ROOTS [Dual-Audio] dvd-rips.
I do hope you enjoy, and I hope this makes it up to all of you for my lack of updates recently.
*Note* For series that we have listed with DVD Rips and TV Rips, the DVD rips will be given priority and if the TV rips die we probably wont replace them as the DVD rips are much better quality.

Viz Licensed "Inuyasha: The Final Act" and "Vampire Knight"
Posted on August 8, 2009, 12:32 pm by Koby with 3 Comments.
Inuyasha: The Final Act continues beyond where the first anime series ended and adapts the story from the final 21 compiled book volumes of Rumiko Takahashi's original manga. It will premiere in Japan this fall.

I don't know when or how Viz will release this, but here is to hoping that they retain the same cast from the original series dub. I had been waiting and hoping to hear that Inuyasha would continue with the Anime to have an ending. We will surely be adding this series as it comes out in English Dub.

As far as Vampire Knight, I've already watched it subtitled, as well as it's season two entitled Vampire Knight Guilty. They were both pretty good but in the end it could have been better. Either way it's still a nice two 13 episode seasons (making 26 episodes in total) anime series so I will be adding it to the site as well when it comes out in English Dub.

Also FUNimation recently licensed "Eden of the East". It just recently finished airing in Japan and was 11 episodes long. I watched it subtitled as it was airing and it was pretty good. I really liked it but I would have liked a closing ending rather than the open ending it gave. But anyways this will be another series to look forward to being added to the site in English Dub whenever they release it.

Just thought I should let you know about the recent licensing for English Dub Anime!

The Not-So-Weekly Anime Updates!
Posted on August 8, 2009, 11:30 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
Here is another update, yippie!
Bleach episodes 135 through 138 and Naruto 213 through 220.
Okay, and some new series:
D.Gray-man episodes 1 through 26, and Naruto Shippuuden 1 through 4.
Also since Moribito hasn't been airing on TV, although it will start sometime this month, we have decided to feature the DVD episodes which have passed the last TV aired episode, so here it goes:
Moribito episodes 1 through 13 in dual audio dvd rips added.
I hope you enjoy, and I apologize again for not getting any broken links fixed at the moment. I will work on them soon.

These bounty hunters have been following Gasback from town to town in hopes of bagging the prize. SD Gundam's BB Senshi Sangokuden Models Get Anime
Posted on October 8, 2009, 5:05 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
The Bandai booth at the 49th All Japan Plamodel Hobby Show has announced on Thursday that an anime adaptation of the BB Senshi Sangokuden model line has been green-lit. BB Senshi Sangokuden is an SD Gundam model series that re-imagines Gundam mobile suit robots as characters in the classic Chinese novel Sangokushi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms). More details will be provided at a later date.

SD Gundam's retelling of the Sangokushi tale has already been adapted before in the 1993 Mobile Suit SD Gundam Festival film and various manga. A manga called BB Senshi Sangokuden ~Senshin Kettou Hen~ has been running in Kadokawa Shoten's Kerokero Ace magazine, and the next three monthly issues will bundle special BB Senshi Sangokuden cards.

Hitman Reborn! Side Story Gets Anime
Posted on October 7, 2009, 8:00 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
The official website for the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! X Monthly Project has announced that the Kaibutsu Tsugai Tsuna! side-story manga will get a "petit anime" adaptation this month. The manga has been running in two-page color installments in Shueisha's V Jump magazine since August. The Kaibutsu Tsugai Tsuna! anime is scheduled to run during the main Katekyo Hitman Reborn! airings on October 17, 24, and 31.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! X Monthly Project marks the debut this month of the Vongola mafia family's 10th boss in Akira Amano's story. Other media tie-ins in the project include the return of the text novel adaptation for one installment in Jump Square magazine's November issue. The novel installment will feature the Hibari character with illustrations by Amano herself. Over 200 pages of the Reborn! manga's Vs. Varia story arc are being posted online for free on the shonenjump.com website until November 14. Viz Media is publishing the 13th manga volume in North America this week.

Sentai Filmworks, Section23 Add To Love-Ru Anime
Posted on October 7, 2009, 7:58 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
The North American anime distributor Section23 has announced that it will release Sentai Filmworks' first DVD collection of the To Love-Ru science-fiction romantic comedy anime series on December 15. Section23 will also release Switchblade Pictures' live-action animal thriller film Gun-Kyu ~ War Pigeon on December 8 and Switchblade's fantasy double feature Makiriko / Battler Sienne Matra on December 1. The second and final volumes of Clannad After Story and Ghost Hound will ship on December 8 and December 15, respectively. All of these releases will be in Japanese with English subtitles.

The television anime adaptation of Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki's To Love-Ru -Trouble- manga aired in spring in 2008. The "slightly risque" stort centers on Rito, a high school boy who cannot get the nerve to tell a girl named Haruna that he loves her. Then, while he is sulking in his bathtub, a girl named Lala from another planet appears before him. The manga began its serialization in Shueisha's Shonen Jump magazine in 2006, and it just ended on August 31.

Gantz Made Into 2 Live-Action Films in 2011
Posted on October 7, 2009, 7:56 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
The NTV News 25 program and Sports Hochi newspaper report on Thursday that Hiroya Oku's Gantz science-fiction action manga will be adapted into two live-action films starring Kazunari Ninomiya (Tekkonkinkreet, Letters from Iwo Jima) of the Arashi musical group and award-winning actor Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Death Note, Detroit Metal City, NANA, The Legend of Kamui). Shinsuke Sato (The Princess Blade, Suna-dokei, Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror) is directing.

The story follows a young Tokyo college student who is reanimated after a deadly subway accident. Kei Kurono (Ninomiya) and his friend Masaru Kato (Matsuyama) go on violent, seemingly endless missions at the behest of an unseen host.

This is the first time that these two well-known actors have worked together. Filming begins next month and is slated to end next April. The two leads have been undergoing training and practicing action sequences. The films will open in the winter and spring of 2011.

6th Playable Character in Final Fantasy XIII
Posted on October 30, 2009, 9:10 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
The latest announced character in Final Fantasy XIII is named Oerba Yun Fang. She's a tattooed, spear-wielding, dragon-summoning, coldly alluring woman with a vaguely Australian accent.

Oerba Yun Fang actually showed up in a Final Fantasy XIII trailer from the Tokyo Game Show, though no one knew her name or her true role in the plot. All we knew was that she's a l'Cie who, unlike other divinely cursed l'Cie characters, works with the government faction that's trying to stomp them out.

Earlier this month, magazine spreads revealed her name and the fact that she summons a weird new version of Final Fantasy staple dragon Bahamut. Though some still speculate about her motivations, she's a fully playable member of the party.

She brings the game's cast to six characters, the minimum for a modern Final Fantasy, with the Japanese release of the game only two months away. And, for the clincher, she's in the newly released line of Final Fantasy XIII soda potions and collectible figurines.

The "Oerba" part of Yun Fang's name suggests that she's from the same tribal background as a previously introduced party member, the much girlier Oerba Dia Vanille.

Cross Treasures, New Frontier, and More
Posted on August 26, 2009, 6:51 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
Cross Treasures
Square Enix was busy this past week. For one thing, the company announced a Nintendo DS action-RPG called Cross Treasures. It's a co-production involving V Jump, a monthly Shueisha anthology that keeps young Japanese readers supplied with the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! series, Dragon Quest spin-offs, and other juvenile manga. Cross Treasures has a similarly cute look courtesy of manga artist Shin'ya Suzuki, and it features squat adventurers tearing through colorful fantasy worlds. Those worlds figure notably into multiplayer mode, since you can design your own settings and draw in up to three other online players.

It's New Frontier
Always in the habit of making cell-phone games that may never come to America, Square Enix also launched It's New Frontier. The mobile-based game has you establish a medieval-fantasy colony by foraging for magical supplies and basic necessities. Townspeople are at your command, and each of them uses a specific magical ability. It's New Frontier resembles Harvest Moon by way of the Square RPG house, and the character designs should look quite familiar to anyone who played Final Fantasy Tactics (or any other Final Fantasy game where summoners wear pointy headbands). We probably won't see this on Western phones, but there's always the chance that, as with Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday, Square Enix will port it to another system.

Dissida: Final Fantasy Univeral Tuning
Also in Square Enix's future is Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning, the Japanese version of the slightly enhanced English-language Dissidia that we'll be playing in North America this week. There's also word of the company releasing Thexder Neo on the PlayStation Network in Japan. Thexder Neo is an old Game Arts mecha shooter that hit numerous PCs and consoles in the 1980s, though Thexder Neo's nature is unknown at this writing.

Host Changed, Domain Renewed and Transferred.
Posted on August 7, 2009, 4:58 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
Okay in our last announcement before changing hosts I mentioned we were losing the domain. However I decided to transfer it from our old hosts' registrar (which they had to make things complicated)... so anyways our domain is here to stay! It has been renewed till 2011 for now.

Also we have changed hosts for the site which should make the site more stable. I do hope you continue to enjoy the site and I do apologize for my lack of work done to this site. I've neglected this place a lot, and well I'm not making any promises but I do have a lot planned for Grandia Online. I want to finish up the gaming sections and re-write the existing pages to go further into detail. I'd also like to add boss guides, walkthroughs , fan art, and fan fiction.

GungHo Online Entertainment today announced that the PlayStation version of Grandia will soon be available for download via the PlayStation Store's Game Archives. Downloading Grandia will cost 600 Yen ($6.08 USD).

In further Grandia-related news, GungHo promises to release more information on its long delayed MMORPG Grandia Online during a press conference scheduled for May 20th. Moreover, series composer Noriyuki Iwadare as well as voice actresses Kikuko Inoue and Mariya Ise are set to attend the event.

Posted on November 2, 2008, 9:47 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
Just going to let you know, I'll be adding some Grandia web-layouts, including the version 3 of this site to our new free layouts page I decided to add. I'm also going to upload a couple MP3's of songs from Grandia for download including "In the Sky" by Miz, the Grandia 3 theme song.

I've been working on my other projects instead of Grandia Online, but once I finish up some things, I'll try to spruce things up here with some fresh new content, and hopefully write something for Grandia I and Grandia Xtreme, lol..

Still no new news of anything related to Grandia such as Grandia 4 or Grandia Online (Zero).

It's been so long since the last update, no news of anything related to Grandia has surfaced, so I thought I should make an announcement letting you know the site is still active. Once I finish up on some of the projects for the other sites I work on, then I will begin to actively update this site such as adding new content, fixing up old content, adding AMV's, and other media, etc..

For now here is a music video that has some Grandia scenes in it. It was the first AMV I made, and I made it back in 2006. Hope you enjoy it. To watch it, right click the link and select "save as".

1st AMV - Going Home
Song: Home - by Daughtry
Scenes From: Grandia 3, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10, The Legend of Dragoon
